The Recovery Room

A cold plunge and a professional grade red light panel, in a room that was actually designed rather than assembled.

Fifteen minutes, and nothing to recover from afterwards

Red light therapy uses red and near-infrared wavelengths to stimulate cellular energy production and healing. A session is about fifteen minutes sitting or standing in front of a professional grade panel. It is painless, a gentle warmth, and there is no downtime after it. Minimal clothing gets the best result, since the light has to reach skin to do anything, and there are private changing areas. The cold plunge sits in the same room, which is the point of building a room rather than putting a panel in a corridor.

What it costs

Twenty five dollars to drop in for a single session, or one hundred and fifty dollars for a ten session punch pass. You do not have to be a physical therapy patient to use it. Individual results may vary, and these services are designed to complement, not replace, medical treatment.

What people use it for

Accelerated tissue healing

Red and near-infrared wavelengths stimulate cellular energy production.

Reduced inflammation and pain

The reason it pairs so naturally with a hard rehab session.

Improved skin health

Collagen and tone, which is the benefit people are least expecting.

Enhanced muscle recovery

Less of the delayed soreness that arrives two days after the effort.

Better sleep quality

Reported often enough by users to be worth mentioning.

Increased circulation

More blood into the tissue that is trying to repair itself.

The other half of the room

There is a cold plunge two steps from the panel.

Cold plunge is on Fortify's own list of advanced treatment modalities, alongside blood flow restriction training, cupping, spinal manipulation and kinesio taping. Ask about it when you book the room, or ask your therapist whether it belongs in your plan at all, which is a different and better question.

No. The Recovery Room takes drop-ins as well as patients. Call the clinic to check availability before you come in, because it is one room.

No, and we will not tell you otherwise. Individual results vary, and these services are designed to complement medical treatment rather than replace it. Used alongside a real rehab plan they help. Used instead of one they are an expensive warm light.
